Light

One of my favorite things to do is to enjoy the morning light. There are different phases and aspects of this enjoyment. Sometimes it is getting up and sitting in the dark with nothing but the light of a candle. Sometimes it includes watching the sun rise from the East and then that transitory change from darkness to light and then to brightness.

When there is more morning time available, I like to then observe the rays of the sun go through my window to catch the crystal prisms and then watch the dancing rainbows on my walls.

Eventually, if there is a lot of sun, I am honored to observe the steam rising from the deck and be transformed as it escapes upward in the cool air.

The final act is catching the dew on various leaves scattered throughout the garden, glistening in the sunlight like jewels expecting to be admired and adored.

Yes, my favorite part of the day is the morning light. Each phase in this transition process of the morning brings a new version of wonder and amazement of light that energizes my soul.
