Connecting the Dots of Your Life

One of the benefits of being older is you have the opportunity of looking back over your life and can now see how certain difficult points in your life actually helped lead you to a new place that you would not have otherwise gone. You now have the ability to look back and see the benefits to that difficult moment. Steve Jobs calls this "connecting the dots" and he talks about how having this hindsight allows you to realize these dots, though difficult, helped you become who you needed to be.

This is an interesting speech Steve Jobs gave at Stanford commencement in 2005 and his message is still pertinent today.
