To My New Daughter-in-Law

I welcome you to our family with open and loving arms.

I can see how you have already made a difference in our lives and the wedding is still just a few days away. I have seen how each time I see my son, his radiance and glow has increased. He is filled with love for you and it overflows from his very soul. I can not only see it, I can feel it as if it tangible and can be touched. I am amazed to see such a dramatic change in a person in such a short time, but there he is, right before me and someone that is confident, assured, and in love. I am so proud of him and that glow and radiance within him.

I can’t help but smile and be moved by his new sense of joy as well as that spark of energy which has become part of his very core and very being. I recognize this is much due to the connection to the person he loves and adores; you.

I know that when a person becomes connected with someone who transforms their very core, both become more than the sum of their parts. I can see this in both of you. I can see how you both have changed into something new and even more wonderful than you were before you got to this point in your lives.

I feel honored and proud to have seen and witnessed this miraculous change. This type of transformation rarely occurs in humanity, and yet here I am, witnessing this event of dramatic change in my own little family.

So thank you, my new daughter-in-law; thank you for bringing your portion of this wondrous event to our lives.
